updates!

Hello my pretty babies!

...again... i am so sorry i've been gone so long!
To save ourselves from the formalities, i will jump right into my updates!

So, christmas is coming up!
In fact, it is Christmas Eve as i write this - crazy, right?
Well, anyways, I thought i'd give a little update on how i'm doing and WHAT.

Lately, school's been keeping me busy, and i haven't had time to post much. I wish I did!
But i am doing all i can posting content on my INSTAGRAM -> @mistukrispy
I've been improving my photography skills, and i've been learning to work with the tech to getting my photos from my camera, to my computer, to editing, to my phone!

But i've learned quite a bit, so here's a lil' snapshot of my christmas tree!

Let's keep it short and sweet.
Have an amazing holiday - each and every one of you.
You're all amazing for actually staying with my non-active blog, and i promise that i will pick up my ass and get to making new and entertaining posts for you babies!

Have an amazing holiday, whatever it is that you celebrate.
Whatever it is, be happy, and be near your family.
Appreciate those you love and who love you,
and be thankful for everything you have and what is your privilege.

I am thankful for my family, my puppies, my blog, my readers, my friends, and everything in between.
I am thankful that I am able to share so many opinions and artistic freedoms with the world, when I know many people in the world can't.
Be appreciative and know you have it good. And if you don't, know it'll only go uphill.

See the subtle beauty surrounding you, and allow it to fill your heart with warmth and happiness.
Seeing the good rather than the bad will change how you see things.
No matter how many presents you get this holiday season, just never forget how life a gift in itself!
-and as New Year's rolls around, come up with a resolution and STICK TO IT.

Let's have a great, (and safe), holiday season!
Love and be loved, my sweethearts!

Krispy Adventures: Leoda's in Maui! ❤

While I was in the beautiful island Maui, Hawaii, I had the opportunity to visit one of Maui's best eats:
Leoda's Kitchen and Pie Shop!

It was a tiny little place, quaint but decorated beautifully with painting and nautical items.
Busy little stand, but everyone was happy and buzzing. Paradise is a wonderful place to be, indeed.

So my cousin, my sister, and I bought an entree each for ourselves.
We came back to the hotel with bags of food and anticipation.
We laid out a sheet on our hotel floor and had a picnic right then and there.

Not much to say now, so just enjoy these food pictures~

Greasy... but promising.

Leoda's Chicken Pot Pie

Leoda's Garden Salad

Leoda's Burger

Then, finally, we were able to finally taste what Leoda's was famous for:

THEIR PIES!

We each got a tiny little pie, each decorated simply and adorably.

Chocolate Cream Pie

Apple Crumble Pie

Banana Cream Pie

The banana cream pie was mine....
ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS.
I HAVE NEVER TASTED ANYTHING SO AMAZING IN MY LIFE.
If i'm ever back in Maui... #1 priority.

Bags and bags of food later, we all fell into a food coma.

Hawaii was an amazing experience...one I will never forget.
I was able to truly appreciate the island mentality and lifestyle. I was still a young child the last time I  went to Hawaii.

Now that i've entered one of my most stressful years of studies, I can look back and feel grateful for the peace and utter elation that I felt on this paradise island.
The island mentality was so... laid-back. So causal.
Going on vacation with my family like this may not come again for a long time, so i'm glad I was able to have this. It was a lovely holiday.

I hope you enjoyed this foodie post! :)
I know i've been gone, I'm well aware.
I'm a busy bee since school started.

Good to look back at my summer adventures.

Mini Makeup Haul! ❤

Yes, I am back again!
If you've noticed, I've been posting alot these past few days. :)
This is because I owe it to you guys.
When I find extra time, I've gotta dedicate it to the success of this blog.

So i'm back with a LONG overdue post,
My Summer Mini Makeup Haul! :D

As you can see in the picture above, I only bought four products, but it was $$$ lemme tell ya.

Alright, so to get right to the point, let's start with the first product!

1. benefit's "Watt's up!" highlighter
PRICE: $30.00 @ Sephora

The packaging as FREAKING adorable, I may add. benefit has never disappointed me with their vibrant and adorable package designs, and I think it really attracts me to their products.
So the product claims to illuminate the areas of the face that it is applied to, and to give a light pink shimmer. I was actually given the smaller sample size of this product about a year before as a sephora birthday gift, and I have been using it ever since! Its tiny and easy to carry around, and it really is a very subtle yet works very well.
So I was very excited to purchase the full sized product because, you know, bigger the better?
Well, I would say it isn't.
While the product is the same and works just as well, the size of the product is the main concern for me.

For the mini version that I had, it was easier to apply to small places like the nose bridge, eyebrow bone, and the inner corners of the eyes. (this is just where I applied it.)
The large size of the product made it a bit clumsy and less kept-together.

But nonetheless, still a great product. I recommend!

2. benefit's REAL! Push-up Liner
PRICE: $24.00

This is what's HOT in the beauty world right now.
benefit has come out with this magnificent new eyeliner that is blacker than black, and applies like no other.
Its supposed to get between the lashes and apply such an even coat you won't even have to line the waterline.

Lemme just start off by saying I was VERY excited to buy this. I had read about it, watched reviews on it, and I just anticipated getting it.
Eyeliner is probably my most IMPORTANT element of makeup.
It just looks really good and gives the eye that definitive shape, as well as showing expression and making them pop.
So, therefore, I was extremely excited to find this in the store that day for my immediate purchase.

The tip of the brush is specially designed to curve AROUND the lashes, so that it really gets a close line.
As you can see, most of the tip is actually PLASTIC, and the product is actually dispensed through a small slit in the plastic. There is knob at the bottom to turn that will push the product out.
Its sharp, and that is the technology that supposedly gives a magnificent line to the eye.
So, I want to say I adored this product, but I didn't.
Although it was very dark and made a great line, it ran.
it ran alot.
I would have lines on the fold of my eyelid and black circles under my eyes.
tried to fix it with primer, but to no avail.
I may give an update on this later, and i will try to find a solution as well.
I would recommend it, because the running is for my eyelid type specifically.
Otherwise the product is very dark and rich, living up to the hype.

3. Drawing Show: Brush Liner
PRICE: Apprx. $9:50

Another buy from my favorite brand-Etude House
Always on the look-out for new eyeliners, and I was quick to jump on this one.
From this same exact line, I have a little tub of gel liner.
Its the most AMAZING thing, therefore I had to try the brush liner.

To get straight to the review:
This liner... leaks.
It gives me eye bags, even with a THICK layer of eye primer.
But, nonetheless, I do like it.
Not my go-to liner, but if I really need a thin line, its what I grab.

The tip is the typical brush tip, which is easy to glide across the eyelid.
The color of the product is a nice, deep black, very opaque and having great cohesiveness when applied.
Not much to say about the product, only that its good, but not the best that i've had.

I hope you all enjoyed my LONG OVERDUE haul post! ^^
School has SERIOUSLY been horrifically busy, so posting is a difficult task to find time for.
I know you have all been waiting, and I am sorry. I promise with my whole heart that I will try to post more.
In fact, i've just ordered a bunch from Yesstyle.com, so another haul post may be flying your way!

I hope you guys enjoyed this post! :)

Boy, i'm exhausted.

Mini Puppy Photoshoot! ❤

Hey guys! Popping in again.

So you all know Kimchi, my toy poodle, but have you met my pom, Miu Miu? :)

She's an adorable white ball of fluff, and she enjoys laying around and licking people's calves.

She's always hyper and follows me around the house.
She and Kimchi give me little moments of happiness everyday!

I hope you enjoy, I just wanted to share a few little pictures I took.

Day in Boston with Mum ❤

Hello everybody!
So over the summer, I attended a summer program in Rhode Island.
(-as most of you guys know.)
After it ended, my mom came to pick me up and we spent  a few days in Boston.
The scenery was stunning and the food... breathtaking. :)

We walked near our hotel are and found a little harbor with quaint little restaurants lining the side.
We took a few pictures, and then sat down for some lunch before our flight back to L.A.
The wait for a table wasn't UNBEARABLE, but it took a good 15 minutes of standing there.
(There were no chairs or waiting area.)

We were at a little restaurant called 75 on Liberty Wharf.

RANDOM QUIRCK: sometimes I get a cup of hot water at starbucks and brew my own cup of tea. I think it's because I'm picky when it comes to my hot drinks.
So don't be fooled if I have a cup with the starbucks logo on it- its probably just my tea.

It was a beautiful day, so we requested a table out on the patio.
I took a few pictures out there, just to capture how peaceful and lovely it was.

Our food came slowly but surely.

Not too large of a menu, which was a relief to me.
It's such a pet peeve of mine when restaurants have HUGE menus, because i'm such an indecisive person.

The decoration and theme of the restaurant was modern yet cute, and everything was very well put together, and I found it charming, especially since it was by a little harbor. (which surprisingly didn't reek of fish.)

Here are some more photos I took of the decor, settings, and drinks, which I just found too adorable NOT to photograph.

Then our food finally arrived! :)
-and matching the theme of the restaurant, the food was adorable as well.

They gave us these little pastries for free as starters... sweet yet not overbearing.

I ordered lamb-chops as my main entree. (I was told it was a small dish, because I really wasn't that hungry. It was still pretty early on in the day.)

Two of the lamb chops were horrendously undercooked, but they were very courteous about cooking them back up for me. The flavor of the meat was quite delicious, and the light salad that came with it was a nice touch.
It came with a lovely barbaque-type sauce, but it had more a wine-ish taste to it. I preferred pairing it with the salad.

My mum ordered some sweet potato fries, and they brought them out to us to share.

My mother ordered a rhode-island lettuce salad as her entree, which to our surprise was basically a stack of rhode-island originated lettuce and some nuts, dried fruit, and cheese sprinkled all over it.
It was actually quite delicious, but a hassle to eat because the pieces were so horrifically large. I felt a bit like a cow trying to fit one leaf of lettuce into my mouth.
Although I believe your intended to cut it with a knife, it didm't seem plausible to me to have to cut a salad like a steak in order to eat it.

It was just us two, but we had a hell-of-alot of food.
Surprisingly, I managed to finish my bit, and my mum finished hers.
The only thing left were the sweet potato "fries", which my mum didn't enjoy too much. But we took them with us in a doggy-bag just in case we got nippy at the airport before our flight later that day.

Asked for a bit of ketchup for the fries, and our table was complete!

The restaurant's ambience was casual and comfy. I felt pretty happy just sitting there and taking in the fresh air and looking out at the harbor. The decor of the place was adorable yet simplistic.
Although the colors used were dark, the restaurant itself was bubbly and bright.
I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who's looking for a smaller meal, and wishes to take in the beautiful view right outside their door.

The only things I DIDN'T like were little things, such as the undercooked lamb chops, the inconvenient design of the salad, the long wait with no seating, and how close we were to the table behind us. (I had trouble getting out.)

But overall, I had a good time. It was nice to have conversation with my mom and just feel at peace next to the harbor. The boats never made any noise, and the smell barely even reached us even at how close we were. The waiters and waitresses were very polite, even giving me a little compliment on my outfit. I felt very comfortable, and that was important for me.
This was quite a while ago, but its taken a while to get around to blogging.
I'm sorry i've been so gone lately, its because schools been keeping me busy, and I have my priorities sorted out this year, so I don't put myself under too much pressure by procrastinating. I'm done making excuses.

I hope you guys will continue to support me.

Talk to you guys soon!
