Krispy Adventures: Ktown Night Market.

Hello, homo sapiens!

I know i've been gone for a week D: Lots of work at school. T.T

But I'm back, and its gonna be a foodie post!

Last weekend, I went to the famous LA KTOWN Night Market!

(WHOOAAA I saw the SeoulSausage Food Truck! They won Food Truck wars on food channel~)

There were performers, singers, rappers, and beatboxers.
(including KRNFX who i wanted to see but coulDN'T HELP)

I passed the Jubilee Project stand, and immediately I recognized them and received a cute post it note. ^^
They are a YouTube channel that promotes doing good by making short films. I've gone on a few Jubilee marathons and I definitely recommend their videos.

The feel was great, and despite all the people there was still a lot of room to walk around and explore without getting uncomfortably close to anyone. :D

It was a really busy event, and a lot of people attended. I can see why, and it was a nice atmosphere to be in. The weather was pretty nice, and there were so many people and tents.

I ended up getting in line for the food truck, Belly Bombz. And LEMME TELL YOU. It was freaking delicious.
As you can see on the logo, they serve Korean Inspired Wings & Sliders, all of which are original recipes. (and delicious.)

THE LINE WAS UNBELIEVABLY LONG.
LIKE, UNBELIEVABLE.

AFTER ALMOST TWO HOURS OF WAITING,
we received our food.
and god bleSS for that.

My cousin and I were going to get our wait's worth, so we ordered a little bit of everything on the menu. and wow i regret nothing REALLY.
Sliders, Wings, and fries Oh my!

Boneless Wings, and Seasoned Fries. My day was AMAZING.

I hope you guys enjoy this foodporn. I can't even talk about it because I'm remembering how good it was and it's making me kind of emotional.

LOOK AT THE SEASONING.
THE SEASONINGGGG

YOU PROBABLY WISH YOU HAD THIS RIGHT NOW.
I do to be honest.

Juicy, delicious, and just great. WORTH THE WAIT.

(*gargling noises*)

frrrriiieeeees.

Well, after the night market and that delicious adventure, I headed to dinner. But I though i'd show you what I purchased at the Yesstyle stand. Yesstyle is a clothing and fashion business. They sell clothes from the fashion capitals of Asia: Hong Kong, Japan, and Korea. They were selling KPOP tshirts and I had to get in on the fun.

So I purchased the below, becauSE G DRAGON.

And thus ended my ktown adventure.
Went out for Beef bone soup and Naengmyeon for dinner, and it was a full day.

I'm sorry if this post wasn't thorough or long enough, but i've been really busy and posting is pretty time-consuming. In fact i am writing this as quick as I can during my breaks between class.

FORGIVE ME.
I am probably going to be MIA for some parts of the week.

THANKS FOR READING GUYS OK GOTTA GO BYE.

Krispy Adventures: Dim Sum Guide for Dummies

Happy Easter to those who celebrate it ^^

I took the day and went out with the fam to a dim sum place in my local area.
(We are a canto-raised family, this is how we celebrate holidays.)

I'm not the biggest fan of dim sum, but there are a few things for people to order if they're going to dim sum for the first time, or want to order something simple if they haven't had the extreme stuff before.

So the first thing I would order is Lo-Mai-Gai. (Sticky rice wrapped with lotus leaves.)

This is a simple delicious thing to order, and i don't know if it'll be in everyone's tastes.

It's basically sticky rice ball with different ingredients inside of it such as mushrooms, preserved meats, and egg yolk.
It's all bundled up into a little package and put into a roll of lotus leaves. Kind of like a parcel.
It is cooked for a while, and it makes the flavors all mix together.
It has a chicken-brothy flavor, and is generally a pretty friendly thing to order if you're new at this.

The next thing I like to eat is this: Deep Fried Shrimp Roll w/ Seaweed.

It's exactly what it sounds like. It's a cooked shrimp wrapped with seaweed and deep friend. It has sesame seeds on top, and is generally a very friendly thing to try.

The next dim sum is probably the most well know.
Xiao Long Bao. (Steamed Juicy Pork Dumplings.)

If you've ever been anywhere like Din Tai Fung, then you've tried this delicious little dumpling.
It's a little dumpling filled with pork and soup, and it all comes together to make quite a delicious package.

I've had this ever since I was little, and I think anyone would enjoy it.
(Does Contain meat products.)
Be careful! The moment you bite into it, hot soup will come pouring out, and if you aren't careful you could get a tongue burn. And those SUCK.)

Next is for the more adventurous eaters.
*drumrolls*

THE INFAMOUS CHICKEN FEET.
you've all heard stories, and one of the worst is the stereotype of us eating cats and chicken feet.
We don't eat cats, but we sure do eat feet.
Honestly, it's not bad. I think one you get past the whole, "im eating chicken feet" thing, it tastes pretty darn good.
Lots of bones and things, but still not too bad.
Don't listen to those stories.
Chicken feet are worth a try.

On to sweeter foods!

I've always prefered the sweeter side of Dim Sum, and these are some of my favorites.

This has been a favorite of mine for most of my life. It is Dao Sa Bao. (Steamed Preserved Salty Egg Yolk Bun.)
DON'T BE FOOLED BY THE "SALTY."
It is not salty AT ALL, and it is actually quite sweet and delicious. The name sounds horrific, but the actual bun is so tasty.
It's not too sweet, and not too savory.
It's a perfect balance of both.
It is the bun with the red dot on the top.
My favorite. Totally worth a try!

Next is another favorite, Dan Tat! (Egg Tart.)
Again, misleading name. Not tart, its rather a pastry. It's not too sweet, and it's simple delicious.
The egg taste is barely there, and the edges are flaky and light and delicious.

Not heavy and Not Tart.
It's very delicious and I have it every time.

So there you go! I hope you guys enjoy your first times going to dimsum, and I hope my little guide helped out a little.
Generally, dim sum isn't all that bad and trying new things won't be too much of a push.
Just be open-minded and try other cultures!
If you have any questions, give them to me down below :)

                     • Thanks Babes•

(Preview: New post coming soon: KTOWN NIGHT MARKET! Belly Bombz Food Truck, Yesstyle, and One of A Kind! Look forward to it!)

Have a Happy Easter, everybody! ^^*

My Starbucks Order \( o u o )/

It is getting really hot here in SoCal, and i thought i'd go to the world's biggest franchise and buy a nice cool drink.

Here's my Starbucks Order:

A cool and sweet Caramel Frappucino, Double-Blended.

I also like the Hazelnut Frap.
I am actually /whispers/ lactose intolerant, so I can't enjoy these drinks too often.
So, i sometimes get a Coffee Frap with Soymilk, which resembles the taste of a vanilla granola bar.
Quite delicious, if you ask me.
Alright guys, let me know down below what your order of Starbucks is ^^*

♡ Thanks, babes. ♡

Strange Random Spaces?

Goodmorning, homo sapiens!
Well, by morning I mean it is currently 3 am.
But we can never get too technical, can we?

This is a quick post, because I have to ask.
Why am I getting strange little spaces randomly placed all over my blog posts?
Especially the ones with a lot of pictures.
In the beginning of my haul post, there is a huge gaping hole in between the title and the first sentence.
It is driving me absolutely off the wall.

Been googling to see if anyone else had the problem, and it didn't seem as if anyone had a problem with random huge spaces placed randomly around their blog posts.
Not too sure what to do, so as a forewarning, if you happen to see them, please just ignore them and scroll past. I will try my hardest to get it fixed, but for now I don't know when it would happen.

Alright thanks guys.
I think I had better sleep now D:

Trippin' on Tuna.

What's up, beautiful people?

Yes, I am here with yet ANOTHER post, and it's just a quick stop by to show the kill of the day.

dinner.

I am extremely tuna-crazed.
Tuna is all I eat when I go to sushi places, which I may add is very often.
Something about the beautiful redness and taste of tuna is just so appealing.
(I'm probably a bear just saying.)

The fan just had their own non-tuna food. /scoffs/

Lots of choices, lots of ways to enjoy japanese cuisine.
lots of TUNA.

I had Tuna TarTar, Poke Tuna, and an order or regular tuna sushi.
that's it.
that's all I had.

( Poke Tuna )

I'm pretty sure I ate basically a whole tuna fish.

Avocados aren't really my thing, so i just tried to eat it all together to taste as little of the avocado as possible.

( Tuna TarTar )

Despite my love for tuna, i often also become quite paranoid that the fish has gone bad. I'm afraid of sick, you see. Always had a irrational fear of vomit.
(enough about vomit Mitsuki.)

Just a quick foodie post. Waiters always look at me weird when I take pictures of my food.
They just don't understand.

On a side note, I added a social media button for my weheartit! ^^*
It's just a bunch of kris and dan so you may not want to see my strange interests.

I hope you enjoyed this little bit of ... tuna.
yeah.

 Bye guys

Attraction to Black Shoes...?

I think I have an addiction to dark shoes.
I am just drawn to them.

They just go with everything!
I've always got a pair of black converse for any occasion.

Colors? PFT.

Black is the new black, right?

New Blog Layout! :3

Hey everyone! ^^

If you haven't noticed, I changed my blog theme! :D

It took a really long time and involved ALOT of coding, but i am very happy with my results :)
I made my header by myself, and creeds for my blog theme to Shabbyblogs.
I am loving the new feel of my blog, and i hope you do too.

I have 3 new little social media buttons in the right sidebar there,
and you can click on any of those to find the different sites that I am on ^^
I am very excited for my new layout, and I hope you guys lie it :)

It isn't perfect yet, but having it the way it is now is very exciting and I can't wait t improve it even more!
Please stop by any time you like, and by clicking the social media buttons, you can find me on Instagram, tumblr, and twitter.

Huge Haul! (・ω・)ノ

Hello Humans! \(o u o  )/
Welcome to the humble domain of Mitsukrispy, a blogger who will relentlessly spam you with the clothes and makeup that I buy out of impulse.

For my first post, i'd like to share a HUGE haul I acquired over the last week!
(spring break = shopping, yeah?)

Decided to fill up on some more summer/spring clothes and pack away those beloved sweaters because it is getting really hot over here in SoCal!
Stopped by Forever 21, TOMS, and got some things brought back for me by my mum who went to Hong Kong for the break.
Brace yourselves!

*dun dun nuuuuun!* Here is the first item in my haul! ( ^ w ^ )
A nice and simple summer dress, with spaghetti straps and a simple cut bottom.
I often just wear a nice cardigan with this, and it's a really comfortable and cheap find from Forever 21.

I think this is because the material of the dress isn't very amazing, so I got it for about $5. It's a good find, and if it doesn't last the summer, it would't be a waste of money.
It has a very nice and simple design, fit for any sort of event and can be easily vamped up with accessories and covers.

The next shirt I bought was a really good find for me.
I love no-sleeve collar shirts, and I was looking for something like this.
It's good for the spring, because sometimes it can be a strange mixture between cold and blazingly hot here in Socal, so something like this can be interchangeable and can be warming or breezy, depending on how the weather is.

The pattern is so pretty, and it's a nice vintage theme, which was very appealing to me.
The material is a lot nicer than the last dress, and it feels a bit like denim, so it is thicker than the typical sleeveless collar.
It is a bit of a crop, so it cuts off just a bit above my belly button. With some high-waisted shorts, it would make a nice outfit for the hot summer.

The only thing I don't really like about this shirt is the big knot at the bottom of the shirt.
It is kind of annoying, because you can't open the shirt completely unless you untie it, and you have to tie it twice because the big laces are so long.

I will find myself wearing this shirt a lot once the summer hits, and i'm excited ;)
This was also a find from Forever 21, and was $15.00. Not very pricey for a well-made cute shirt, i think.

During my adventures at Forever 21, I came across a simple pair of jean high-wasited shorts.
I was looking a pair and then the heaven's lights parted and revealed them to me.
It was 12 dollars, and i am happy with this find.
I will wear it whenever I can.
This is something you just need in your closet.

Below is a scarf that I bought at Disneyland, believe it or not.
Bought it at the Pirates of the Caribbean ride store, and i was surprised at how nice they were.
I am obsessed with pirates, (AC4 is my life), so i had to buy it.
It's not exactly scarf season, but I never know when i'll need it.
Who knows? ^^
I also purchased another because there was a good deal to buy two.

So yeah, Disney fashion is now a thing.

The following items are from Hong Kong.
They were purchased for me by my mum, and she bought them completely on her own, and she had her own judgement of what she determined as,"my style."

This first crop sweater is from the Hong Kong brand, RUHM (aka REMARKABLE UNIFORM333)
I had not known of this brand before, so it was a pleasant surprise.
It's a short sleeve and a crop, but the material is thick so I would consider is a bit of a sweater.
Again, this would be nice on a cooler spring day, and i think the little dots are quite endearing.
The dots are metallic, and the actual sweater is a very dark blue, and sometimes it even appears black.

I really like this sweater, and i look forward to an opportunity to wear it. *-*
This was actually $242 HK dollars, so around 20 or so dollars. I don't think thats too pricey.

The next thing my mum bought is a dress, and it is from the brand CIRCLE. (outstandingordinary)
This is also a Hong Kong brand, I believe.
I think it's quite cute and quirky, but what i don't like about it is the form, because it looks a bit flimsy.
I may wear this with a nice belt to maybe fit it more around my waist.
Also a very light material, so I actually think this would work year around, and can be changed with a sweater or cardigan over it.
It is black, grey, and has specks of red, so this will be quite easy to match with accessories.
This was around $450+ HK dollars, so this one was a bit pricey.

The last two clothing products are from Korean Brands.
This sweater vest (?) is from a brand called 3.3 FIELD TRIP., and is quite cute.
The designs on it are very ulzzang-y, and the fabric is very light so it would be very nice with some shorts or a thin collar shirt under during the summer.

Its a light salmon color, and it would match well with some jeans, white and off-whites, and maybe some grey.
Very cute, don't you think? Not really my style, but I am willing to try new things.
It was $215 HK dollars, and that is not pricey for such a well-made product.

The last clothing product is a pair of shorts from a brand called A.
It looks like a skirt at first glance, but it is actually a pair of long shorts.
I have honestly never had any type of clothing like this. I don't think I would have ever bought anything like this for myself. But I did find it quite cute, and it actually matches well with the shirt above, but I imagine I would look a bit like a salmon.
It has a stretchy waist, which will be comfortable, and it has deep pockets which is always something i look for in a pair of pants.

It was $320 HK dollars, and i don't think that's too pricey for a pair of well-crafted shorts that will be very comfortable on a hot summer day.

Ok, on to makeup!
I bought ALOT of makeup products over my break, and i think it's because something about them calls out to me and its a great feeling to have a new makeup product to test and use.

The first things i bought were these two brushes from SEPHORA.
(If you follow my joint blog, "3 Cups of Tea", you'll know how much i love these.)
I bought a Airbrush Flawless Foundation Brush (top), and a Flawless Precision Concealer brush.(bottom)
I don't want to do a full-blown review, but I can say that I really really love these brushes like asHFHJLSKJD

When they say flawless, THEY MEAN FLAWLESS.
Both are blessings in my life and spread out my foundation and concealer very evenly, making my skin look very nice and my complexion even. The bristles are soft, and i know these brushes will last a while.
They are very easily washed, and i am in love with these two.
I recommend them highly to anyone looking for a good brush, and they can be found at any SEPHORA store.

Prices:
Airbrush Foundation Brush: $32 USD
Flawless Concealer Brush: $20 USD
Yes, the prices are a bit steep for brushes, but it's worth every penny. Highly recommend!

The next thing I bought was just so cute I could not resist,
IT"S A MACARON LIP CALM.
LOOK AT IT.
IT IS SO CUTE,
KAWAII OMFG
It is from the Korean Makeup brand,  it's SKIN.

It smells of treacle fairy powder and pure joy from the hands of an angel.
I wanted to try a new lip balm, and I saw this and I almost started crying.

It is iN A LITTLE MACARON SHAPED CONtAINER.
It is so beautiful and smells of pure joy.
They come in about 4-5 other flavors, and they are all also smelling of joy.
I purchased this on a whim and wanted it.
Now wait for it...

Price: $18.00
my goodness.
all i want are moisturized lips that smell of happiness.
why must you be so expensive.
But, I regret nothing.
I will enjoy it while it's here :)

(so cute ohmyakhsdkbajsbdkad.)

The following are some products that my mum, (bless her) bought me from the ETUDE HOUSE stores in Hong Kong. My favorite brand. ; u ;

I was having bad breakouts because of stress and anxiety, so my mom bought me the ETUDE HOUSE, AC Clinic Daily + line products, which are supposed to help actively with acne.

She bought the toner, the gel lotion, and the acne foam cleanser.
I really appreciate this buy and I hope it works well. I have bad acne along my hairline, and i'd like to rid myself of them as soon as possible.

(The line came with some little samples and things.)
After a few more weeks using it, I can do a review then. :)

I actually do not know the prices of these products all together, but I think it may be 400+ HK dollars.
Not very pricey, considering how they overprice ETUDE HOUSE in the U.S.

The Gel Lotion and Toner come in cute glass bottles that remind me of Soju bottle to be honest, and the foam cleanser came in an easy dispense tube.
***I think having the bottles as glass is a bit inconvenient, because If i were to travel there would be the risk of having them break or get damaged.

Very adorable design, though, and I had to take a few pictures.

The last products I purchased in this haul were some FOREVER 21 makeup products from their newly introduced makeup line.

I have never tried Forever 21 cosmetics, so I was excited to see if they would be of good quality.
I bought a Liquid Eyeliner and a Gel Eyeliner.
I am generally more of an advocate for gel liner, and i don't really like to use liquid because it clumps on my lashes and it feels really heavy to me.
I really prefer a softer eyeliner look, so i'm a gel liner girl.
But i decided to give it another try, because liquid liner does last much longer,

[Note: Both products were manufactured in Korea.]

They came in really adorable packaging, and they were really simple and cute. I would say it is a very nice representation of my packaging design style. (what.)

When unwrapped, the products look like this. (below.)
I bought the color black for both.
I am currently wearing the liquid eyeliner for the first time, and it actually feels pretty nice.
Sadly, it does clump on my lashes a bit, and I will still continue to use gel liner the most.
I have no yet tried the gel liner, but i look forward to it.

Eyeliner is my favorite makeup product, so both were pretty good purchases.
Prices: $8.80
(both were the same price.)

So that's the end of my HUMONGOUS spring haul!
I commend you if you actually made it to the end, because this took me a very long time to write.

***I am not bashing any of these products, I am merely reviewing them.***
I am actually quite pleased with most of these purchases.

Thank you so much for reading my FIRST EVER blog post, and i hope you come back again! n u n

Talk to you guys next week! (Hint: Maybe some song recs...?)

Bye!

Love, Krispy
