New Breakfast/Snack Idea!

Hey guys! :)
I have been at camp for a few more days, and i'm starting to enjoy it more ^^
It's still been tough, but i'm a fighter.
On the bright side, I have started to eat and gain appetite again, which has made me quite excited.
I've been eating pretty healthy, and i thought i'd share a deliciously sweet and simple breakfast recipe while I have some time.

It's not quite a recipe, but more a delicious idea.

INGREDIENTS:

• fresh strawberries (SWEEEET)
• low-fat yogurt
• brown sugar (no particular brand.)
• granolas (with or without raisin is your choice.)

(pictured are ingredients.)

Simple. Not many ingredients, and i'll bet you you'll enjoy it.

INSTRUCTIONS:

• This "recipe" is made to your own tastes. You can change anything you like as long as you keep my general guidelines.
• Pour a serving size amount of the yogurt into a bowl, while also adding the same amount of granola. The amount of both depends completely on you. (personally I add just a bit less granola than yogurt, because the yogurt is used for something else as well.)
• Wash and cut leaves from strawberries. The amount depends on you, but I myself will get 5-6 strawberries per. time I eat this.
• get half a cup of brown sugar and pour it into a smaller bowl, and add a bit to the yogurt as well.
• get a strawberry and dip it in the yogurt, coating it as if it were dipped in chocolate.
• Then, proceed to dip the yogurt-covered strawberry gently into the brown sugar, rolling it to make a light coat of the sugar.
Repeat as many times as you like.
• Also eat yogurt with the granola as the main part of the meal.
• Enjoy! :)

I love doing this in the morning because it is healthy and delicious, but also cures my sweet tooth.
These are normal and easy-to-retrieve ingredients, all of which are simple and pretty good for the body.

It's very delicious, and I highly recommend this as a substitute for a chocolate dipped strawberry.
I hope you guys enjoy this new breakfast/snack idea! ^^
I'll be back very soon, so wait up!
My days are getting a bit brighter, and I really hope they become enjoyable.

Love you guys!

Peach Banana Smoothie Recipe!

Hey everyone! I'm back with a fresh new summer recipe!
Who doesn't like a smoothie on a hot day? Especially if it's quick, easy, and delicious?

I made a delicious smoothie today, and it really tasted of summer. :)

(PS: if you don't like pulp and skin, this may not be the one for you.)

INGREDIENTS:

  • PEACHES: canned or fresh, doesn't matter. (preferably fresh and frozen)
  • BANANAS: fresh. canned bananas are a no-no. (preferably frozen)
  • APPLE JUICE: Any brand is fine, as long as you like the taste.
  • ICE CUBES: Not crushed, just cubed. (not needed if fruits are frozen)
  • LOW-FAT YOGURT: Any brand is fine. I'm lactose intolerant so i did not include it, but it would make for a thicker smoothie.

AMOUNTS:

  • PEACHES: 1-2 peaches, sliced into medium-sized chunks. (PEELED IF YOU WANT)
  • BANANAS: 1-2 bananas, sliced into medium sized pieces.
  • APPLE JUICE: 1/2 cup
  • ICE CUBES: 4-5 pieces of ice (again, not needed if fruits are frozen.)
  • YOGURT: 1/2-1 cup.

DIRECTIONS:
  • Once all ingredients are chopped, frozen, and prepped, just throw 'em into a blender! Any blender will do.
  • I would layer them as ice (optional), bananas, peaches, and then pour in the apple juice and yogurt once all solid ingredients are in.
  • it should fill the blender about half of the way. There should be more peaches than bananas.
  • blend on low/pulsating until the mixture is smooth and liquified.
  • BONUS: there will be skin, and you can get rid of that if you peel the peaches. I left the skin in, and it isn't bad. Just more to chew. X)
  • chill and serve!

I hope you all enjoy my recipe ^^
It's hot and dry in California, so i figured this would be a nice, fresh and delicious way to cool down! Healthy too!

Just pour it into a MASON jar, and you've got an artsy and delicious treat!

I bought the jar at TARGET for $9.99~

It should come out a delicious and adorable baby pink color!
Putting this smoothie into little jars and serving it at a party would make for a delicious part favor :)

Delicious and easy recipe, straight from your's truly :)

So there is my recipe :)

ALSO: NEWS! I got a new camera! Its a CANON: Rebel T5i. My pictures come out much prettier, and gets the color point-on.
So, expect many more beautiful photos in the future!
I personally love to take pictures of flowers and scenery, so expect some of that c:

I'll be around again real soon :)

bellagio.

"Las Vegas's Bellagio hotel has always held beautiful displays of flowers and designs that capture the essence of the word, garden. At the moment, they are displaying the colors of summer, and what flower other than the Sunflower itself could represent summer any more perfectly?"

Easy Tuna Bowl Recipe!

So the other day I made a tuna bowl :)

I thought this would be a good opportunity to post a recipe!
It's very simple, fresh, and delicious.

INGREDIENTS
  • Ready-made tuna sashimi: (you can find these at many Japanese markets. Their fish is made fresh to be made into sushi and sashimi, so i would recommend that. Any type of tuna will do. Also, i am obsessed with tuna.)
  • cilantro/chives (optional)
  • baby tomatoes
  • seaweed (stripped and cut into pieces)
  • cooked sesame seeds
  • japanese mayo sauce
  • ponzu sauce / soy sauce
  • sriracha hot sauce (recommended)
INSTRUCTIONS
  • This is a very simple and quick recipe. Anybody can do it with the right ingredients! Its a great healthy meal that can be done without any baking or much hassle :)
  • FIRST: chop the tuna into small-medium sized cubes. cut them to your preference. :) The tuna may have to be rinsed beforehand, depending on what type you are buying. a sharper knife would make the cutting of the fish easier.
  • SECOND: chop all the other ingredients, such as the cilantro, chives, seaweed, and tomatoes. cubes or sliced, however you like.
  • THIRD: put all the ingredients into a medium-large bowl. i would start with the tuna, and then add the other toppings. Then, I would gradually mix in the liquid ingredients until the mixture held together. There is no specific amount of any to put in, and should be adjusted to your own tastes. but my guidelines will be listed below.
  • LAST: mis all together and chill. can be eaten then and there! :D
  • BONUS STEP: Add a few fried wonton chips or just a crunch factor, and it'll add a whole new depth of flavor! I prefer it myself. put the tuna mix on the crunch and it makes a delicious appetizer!
hot sauce: 1-2 tsp.
ponzu/soy sauce: 1-2 tbsp.
japanese mayo: 1-2 tbsps.
[it really depends on how much tuna you have and what you want.]

-And here is the finished product!
beautiful, huh?

It made a quick lunch and was pretty healthy as well.
clean, oil free, and fresh.

I hope this saved at least a few of you from a meal-time dilemma!
Easy dish, anyone would like it.

I found it delicious and easy.

More to come soon! I hope you enjoy! ^^
